Focus Engineering is currently looking for a Project Engineer Electrical for a plant-owner active in the petrochemical industry in the Rotterdam area.
This concerns a vacancy for a direct employment at the client.
Within this role you will responsible for helping this company meeting the energy transition goal of net zero emissions. You will work with the newest technology focussed on the energy transition.
This company is working on several energy transition projects such as a world scale biofuel plant and multiple carbon capture projects. there are a number of major projects underway to improve and expand the power grid at their site in Rotterdam.
This company has its own distribution system and electricity generation of about 200 megawatts. Electricity is distributed across the site at voltage levels voltage levels of 66kV, 25kV, 10kV, 6kV, 3kV and low voltage.
The Job:
– You will be actively involved in the FEED and basic engineering with the engineering team
– You will be involved for ensuring the best availability and reliability of the electrical network on the site
– You will contribute from the electrical point of view for the CO2 reduction goals
– You will work closely with external parties like contractors and suppliers
– You are responsible for the supervision on the performance and quality standards of third parties
– You are involved in the commissioning of the electrical equipment (FAT & SAT)
– You will provide professional advice regarding maintenance, repairs, revisions and fault diagnoses
– You will act as a Senior Authorized Electrical Person for high and low voltage installations
– You take part in the electrical stand-by duty scheme, on an approximately six weeks per year duty cycle
About You:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
– 5+ years of experience in the process industry
– You have experience with power generation and distribution
– Knowledge of legislation, standards and practices in the field of electrical safety and design/construction of electrical installations
– Can act as Senior Electrical Authorized Person (Werkverantwoordelijke Hoog- en Laagspanning)
