Focus Engineering is looking for an Analytical System Engineer for a plant-owner, active in the gas & renewable energy in Rotterdam.
This concerns a vacancy for a permanent contract.

Within in the Northern European Engineering team you will work as an Analytical Systems Engineer, with the responsibility to support all aspects of the analytical systems for plant operation, optimisation & product quality on our operating facilities in the northern continent. These responsibilities include direct technical guidance for plant staff, troubleshooting analysis equipment and system problems, or providing a design engineering capability to change or add new analytical systems. This often involves working as part of multidiscipline engineering teams and together in close cooperation with plant operations and maintenance teams.
The Job:
– You will be responsible for providing a design and project engineering capability for projects to change or add analytical systems. This will include the detailed equipment and system specification, and project engineering of the installation and commissioning.
– You will interface with the Global Analytical Technical leads
– You provide the capability to develop analytical system solutions to meet new or changing requirements.
– You liaise with other engineering disciplines, vendors and peers as necessary to develop and execute projects.
– You develop and be responsible for a project schedule and budget, adhering to all applicable safety, engineering, and management of change standards.
– You are responsible for the integration / connectivity of analytical systems where necessary to provide robust plant monitoring, control or optimisation, data availability.
– You provide a design and implementation capability to upgrade legacy systems to current technology when obsolescence becomes an issue.
– You ensure regulatory compliance for analytical systems for Medical & Food grade products, emissions monitoring (CEMS).
– You standardise analytical equipment & quality documentation across region. This includes equipment, work instructions, calibration procedures, record keeping.
– You provide training as required by plant & maintenance personnel.
– You ensure adequate cost-effective equipment & system maintenance is applied
– You participate in P&ID, HAZOP reviews and relevant ATEX / SIS experience will be advantageous.
– You assist in factory and site acceptance tests and supervise construction contractors.
