Focus Engineering has some challenging vacancies for one of the biggest shipbuilders in the Netherlands. See below the open positions: - Lead Maintenance Engineer E&A (permanent) - Senior Electrical Engineer (freelance or permanent) - Senior E&A Engineer (permanent) - Electrical Commissioning Engineer (freelance or permanent) - Junior Electrical Engineer (permanent) Our client is one of the biggest shipbuilding companies in the world. This company has over 10.000 professionals and almost 100 years of knowledge and experience in the naval shipbuilding. They invest in the most sustainable, advanced and cutting-edged technologies in the field of automation, electrical, mechanical engineering, combat systems, radar and navigation systems. The multi billion projects you will work on, are among of the most challenging projects in the world due to the size, advanced technology and systems. The duration of the projects are between two and five years and you will be working in a big multidisciplinary engineering team.


Job description

  • You perform the required technical calculations to prove the design
  • You participate in design checks and reviews in order to guarantee the required quality
  • You align internally with other engineering disciplines about solutions and specifications
  • You are responsible for the functional and technical specifications of Electrical installations
  • You verify technical performance of vendors and subcontractors
  • You perform cost analysis on received offers, in close cooperation with the Purchase department
  • You offer support for producing and submitting proposals to their clients
  • You offer technical support or commissioning activities to projects under contract
  • You manage vendors and subcontractors to deliver their work on time
  • You develop and describe standards and working methods

Who are you?

  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • You preferably have experience in the maritime industry
  • You have a strong command of the English language
  • You have an European passport
